making a difference

Much of our apparel is produced abroad and Vietnam plays an important part of our success as a company. We support The Sunflower Mission, a US based, nonprofit organization, seeking to improve the future of Vietnam by building classrooms, providing educational materials, and funding scholarships. Our hope is that through this partnership we can be a part of bringing education to remote areas of Vietnam.

Our dedication to community reached a milestone in 2017, as the third pillar of the long term plan was underway. With a commitment to family health and wellness, the Byer Athletic Center opened in 2004 on the campus of the Peninsula Jewish Community Center. 2011 saw the opening of the Family Birth Center at Mills - Peninsula Medical Center, which was made possible through a grant from Marian and Allan Byer. In 2017, Byer Square on the San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living began construction, and when finished, will complete this aspect of our legacy of supporting health and wellness for generations to come.

Nationally, Byer California continues to support Delivering Good, donating clothing and resources for those unable to provide for themselves, as well as those in need of disaster relief. In addition, Byer California is a proud partner with the YMA Fashion Scholarship Fund, allowing for students to not only pursue a career in the fashion industry, but also engage with industry mentors.

Globally, Byer California’s connection with Rotaplast (committed to helping children and families worldwide by eliminating the burden of cleft lip and/or palate and burn scarring) has allowed for Byer California clothing to be donated by the Rotaplast volunteers during humanitarian missions abroad.
